I am delighted to announce that the Kansas Authors Club has bestowed its 2022 J. Donald and Bertha Coffin Memorial Book Award for fiction to my novel Opulence, Kansas. This annual award is intended to honor the best published work of fiction written by a member of Kansas Authors Club. There are a lot of fine writers in this group, so I am thrilled to have my book – a love letter to small-town Kansas – chosen. Thank you to everyone in the KAC, and my staunch publisher, Tracy Million Simmons of Meadowlark Press, who has welcomed and encouraged me – you are a wonderful bunch!

That’s wonderful, Julie. Well deserved, too.
