Thanks to the community readers of Billings, MT for selecting my novel Opulence, Kansas as a finalist in the Young Adult Fiction category of the High Plains BookFest 2021 book awards! The award was originally established by the Billings Library as a way to recognize and reward the excellent writing of the Plains region, so it’s a special pleasure to be honored by “library people” (my tribe!) among an outstanding pool of books. Winners to be announced in late September.
