Delighted to announce that the Billings (MT) High Plains Book Award has honored my novel, Opulence, Kansas, as the winner of the award for Young Adult Books for 2021. For the last 20 years, the BIlling Public Library Board has gioven this award to recognize excellent writing reflecting the life of the High Plains region, from Canada to Kansas. I’m so grateful for the honor paid to my coming-of-age story set beneath the Kansas skies as seen through the eyes of a privileged Chicago girl.
